IALT show fractions using geoboards

WALT show fractions using geoboards.
I used the 'rubber bands' to stretch around half of the board.  Then I wrote the fraction next to it as well.

I learned to use a geoboard because I had not done that before.  It was hard because I kept forgetting to click and drag. It was easy because I am very good at equivalent fractions.

I used this link to help me work it out.  I think this app will be really helpful for all students in my class to help them show their working on their computer.

Please check out my video and then the link. Let me know which of the apps you think is the coolest.

  6. Hi, I'm Noah from Waikowhai Primary School I really liked your fractions on a geoboard it mad me think of my fractions and how I can make 1 whole and 8 over 16 = 1 half. That made me think that I should use that website and get a lot better at my fractions. I also liked how you said IALT because that is really creative cause it means I am learning to instead of we are learning to.
    Blog u later Noah.

  7. Hi there, this is Joshua from Waikowhai Primary School in Te Waka Ako. I liked how you came up with an easier way to problem solve fractions. It helped me a little bit with my fractions. Maybe next time you could try to do the fractions on a normal white board. If you would like to check my blog out go to - http://wpsjoshuac.blogspot.co.nz/ - hope you like it!
